Ms. Joan Ann Broughton, 58 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Ms. Broughton will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, 1:00 PM CST at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Reverend Terrance Holloway, Pastor | Officiating.

Ms. Broughton leaves to cherish her precious memories to her children, Nicole (Paris) Story of LaFayette, AL, Frederick (Zikkia) Broughton of Valley, AL, Hattie (Clint Spence) Broughton and Phillip Broughton of Columbus, GA, three brothers, John (Wanda) Broughton of LaFayette, AL, David Broughton of Lanett, AL and Joseph (Felecia) Broughton of LaFayette, AL, four sisters, Betty Jo (John Wayne) Patten of LaFayette, AL, Lynda (John Greer) Burton of Lanett, AL, Brenda Broughton of LaFayette, AL and Kay Oliver of Opelika, AL, her grandchildren: Monica, Wanesha, Feneka, Fenick, Azavious, Tymarrion, Frederiun, Ma’kynna, Malik, Trevon, Olivia, Haley, Elijah, and Kyell, two great-grandchildren, A’Miracle Beaty and Makari Fanning, aunts and uncles: Annie (Roosevelt) Carwell, Roosevelt (LaRachel) Williams, Eddie Williams, Richard Williams, James Williams (Sagretta), Mary More, Rosetta Books, Queen Summers and Dorothy Jean Williams, Curtis Broughton, and Jimmy Broughton, Linda Ann Broughton, Carolyn (Jeffery) Nolen, Lavonia Giles, Eva (Willie) Mitchell, Mary Pryor and Minnie (Eddie) Griffin, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
